Abstract

The induction of heritable mutations in germ cells represents a potential health concern. his paper will highlight several themes in the area of germ-cell mutagenesis and their implications in reproductive and developmental risk. dditionally, factors that influence the yield of genetic damage (e.g., gender differences, exposure to specific stages of the germ cell cycle, zygote, and the first cleavage embryo) will be discussed.
